What is the history of the site?

ChurchCentral.com is owned and operated by Church Central Associates, a partnership formed by NetWorld Alliance and the Rainer Group. In addition to publishing this Web site, Church Central Associates hosts conferences for church leaders, offers a Church Health Survey product and publishes a monthly newsletter called The Rainer Report.

The company began operations in Jan. 2002, and the Web site launched the following May.

The idea for Church Central began when two men — Tom Harper and Dr. Thom Rainer — shared a vision to create a ministry resource that would be at the heart of church health and leadership.
