Using Church Management Software to Engage New Members [Infographic]

July 16, 2012 | by Tom Harper

You've probably noticed that every so often we add a new sponsor to, as well as various downloadable resources.

This time, the sponsor and resource come as a package deal. We collaborated with FellowshipOne to produce a pretty unique infographic on how church management software works.

In the infographic you'll see a summary of the story of Ben. He's a young Christian who just moved into your area and doesn't know a soul. Before he's even unpacked all his boxes, Ben pulls out his laptop and searches the Internet for a church.

Fortunately, Ben discovers your website and decides to visit your church this Sunday. Liking what he sees and hears, he fills out a visitor information card and drops it in the offering plate.

Ben's ready to take the next step. That's where the software kicks in.

The infographic below illustrates how church management software (ChMS) can help you turn first-time visitors into fully-engaged members of your church. It is based on a well-produced video that follows Ben as he joins and becomes active in the church.

At every step, the church takes advantage of its ChMS to easily and effectively connect with Ben and his growing family. It's an interesting take on how the church follows his lifecycle from singlehood to marriage, new births, baptisms, etc.

If you like the infographic, feel free to post it on your website or blog using the embed code at the bottom of this page. You can also download a PDF of the infographic.
