FORT WORTH, Texas -- Church leaders from across the Southwest will gather at The Ballpark in Arlington Sept. 19 to discuss construction trends for churches in the 21st century, according to a news release.
The National Association of Church Design Builders (NACDB) is sponsoring the conference. The conference repeats Sept. 20.
"This will be our most comprehensive look at this subject yet," said Greg Barron, president of the NACDB, which conducts seminars nationwide.
"It will offer a wonderful opportunity to explore the church development process and look at the newest trends, advances and innovations," added Barron, president of Fort Worth-based G.L. Barron Company, a Texas-based design/build architectural and construction company.
Topics to be addressed by leaders in each field include:
- Architecture and Construction Trends for the 21st Century Church.
- Project Master Planning.
- Financial Feasibility and Sources of Financing.
- Sound, Light and Acoustical Treatments for the 21st Century Church.
- Project Delivery Methods: Pros and Cons.
- Dealing with Change and Vision: The Power to Transform the Building Program.
The NACDB is a non-profit organization of designers and builders created to provide religious and other non-profit groups with information on the planning, design and construction of churches and church-related facilities.
