ORLANDO, Fla. -- David Delk, chief operating officer of Man in the Mirror, has been named president of the ministry, according to a news release.
Chairman of the board and CEO Patrick Morley announced the move June 3. Delk joined the ministry nine years ago.
"David's passion and heart, combined with his strong leadership and people skills, made him the obvious choice to lead this organization into the future," Morley said in the release.
Delk recently published a novel, "Twists of Fate" and will soon release "Dad in the Mirror," which was co-authored by Morley. Previously, he was named Emerging Young Leader of the Year by the National Coalition of Men's Ministries and currently serves on the steering committee of that organization.
Since 1989, Man in the Mirror has distributed almost four million books to men and women through its Father's Day and Mother's Day book giveaway campaigns. The ministry has served more than 20,000 leaders with tools, resources and training to help them reach men, according to the release.
