NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- LifeWay Christian Resources has launched the online Homeschool Channel to offer parents who homeschool their children tips, curriculum suggestions, legal information and encouragement, the Baptist Press reported.
Zan Tyler, a homeschool resource and media consultant for Broadman & Holman Publishers, which is a partner in the channel, serves as editor of the Web site.
"God has given parents the responsibility and right to teach their children," Tyler said. "Certainly, I don't see homeschooling as the only way to educate, but for many people, it's the path that God has called them on."
The site will offer information on special needs children and articles about the daily duties homeschooling parents face.
LifeWay will offer a Homeschool Family Vacation at its Ridgecrest, N.C., and Glorieta, N.M., conference centers in August.
