• N.J. church to convert expo facility into worship center

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. -- Living Faith Christian plans to buy the South Jersey Expo Center in Pennsauken, N.J., and begin converting it into a worship center as soon as March 31.

According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, Pennsauken Venture Associates plans to sell the 100,000-square-foot exhibition hall to the church's 4,000 members. The congregation has outgrown its present 37,000-square-foot space in the former Temple Emanuel in Cherry Hill.

Church spokeswoman, Angela M. Brown, said the church hopes to continue renting out the hall a few days a week. Meanwhile, the deal closes March 31.

"We want to be in there by Easter," she said.
