CARY, N.C. -- Mark Kitts, an associate pastor at Crosspointe Church, has developed People Driven Software (PDS) to help pastors and church staffs communicate better with their congregations and enhance their spiritual growth.

"I developed this software because I felt current church software placed too much emphasis on business and accounting practices and not enough on the main purpose of the church," Pastor Kitts, a former software developer, said in a release. "I wanted to make people the focus. There are billion-dollar companies writing great accounting software, but only a handful writing great ministry software."

PDS helps a church staff track members as they proceed through disciple-development processes, and allows staffs to target and communicate with members via mass e-mails.

The software includes revolutionary feature called replication. This allows several staff members or volunteers to load a copy of the software on their laptops or home computers and have full access to their data without a connection to the Internet. Any changes made are can be synchronized to the main database file at the office.
