NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The United Methodist Church is encouraging creative youth ministry programs throughout the United States to apply for special funds.
The denomination's initiative on youth and young adults has set a Nov. 15 deadline for grant applications, according to the United Methodist News Service.
Projects should address the causes of critical issues related to young people in their local settings, emphasizing how their work can have an impact on the UMC's priorities. Local congregations, annual conferences, central conferences and other United Methodist entities can apply.
Grants of up to $15,000 annually will be awarded. Applications are available online at the Shared Mission Focus on Young People's Web site.
