PHOENIX -- Promise Keepers, the national men's movement, is hosting a special conference for pastors and church leaders Feb. 18-20, 2003, in Phoenix.
The "Come Near to Me" conference is meant to revitalize churches, conference director Dan Hauser said. More than 55,000 ministers from across denominational lines are expected to attend, according to a news release.
Speakers include Tony Evans, pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas and founder of The Urban Alternative; Joseph Stowell, president of Moody Bible Institute; Max Lucado, an author and pastor of the Oak Hills Church in San Antonio; and Bruce Wilkinson, author and founder of Walk Thru the Bible.
The cost is $150 for those who register on site at any 2002 "Storm the Gates" event held by Promise Keepers. Those who register by phone, (800) 888-7595, or online through Thanksgiving will pay $165; the cost is $195 after Thanksgiving.
