ROLLING HILLS ESTATES, Calif. -- A demand for religious-based images to be used in church bulletins and brochures has prompted PhotoSpin, a subscription service for royalty-free photos, to launch a Church & Worship series.
"Churches make up a large percentage of our subscriber base," said Stephanie Robey, president of PhotoSpin. "Religious organizations market themselves much like other organizations. They are using royalty-free images in Web sites, church bulletins, brochures and more to provide community outreach."
The church and worship images available include people painted to look like the actual paintings of Leonardo di Vinci's Last Supper and Michelangelo's Pieta. The series also includes less specific photos.
PhotoSpin is subscription based, according to a news release. Annual subscriptions range from $149 to $249 depending on the number of downloads available. A free 30-day trial is available. Members receive monthly updates of new content and can request image content.
