NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- LifeWay Christian Resources is partnering with Fellowship Church in Grapevine, Texas, to develop resources for church leaders and laypeople.
The move is part of LifeWay's New Ventures initiative to develop alliances with influential churches and authors, said Gene Mims, vice president of LifeWay's church resources division. LifeWay is a division of the Southern Baptist Convention.
LifeWay will use Fellowship Church's resources to develop Bible study curriculum, children's programs, software, worship service planning elements and other church resources, according to the Baptist Press.
The Dallas-area church's explosive growth has been featured in The New York Times and on the CBS Morning Show. Worship attendance has increased in the last 12 years from 90 to more than 16,000 in five weekend services. More than 1,580 people were baptized at Fellowship Church in 2001, pastor Ed Young Jr. said.
LifeWay and Fellowship Church will co-sponsor a Creative Church Conference for pastors, staff and other leaders Jan. 24-25, 2003. A line of Sunday morning children's resources for fall 2003 will be launched during the conference, according to the Baptist Press.
