NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- LifeWay Christian Resources will help kids unravel the mystery of "The Great Kingdom Caper -- Cracking the Character Code" with its 2003 Vacation Bible School (VBS) materials. The theme was announced Aug. 22.
The week-long study has children acting as sleuths and adults as inspectors to discover that living with Christian character requires having Jesus as Lord and Savior, said Rob Sanders, VBS editor-in-chief in LifeWay's childhood ministry publishing. LifeWay is the publishing arm of the Southern Baptist Convention.
"Sleuths and inspectors will be on special assignment to discover how compassion and kindness, humility and gentleness, patience and endurance, forgiveness and love are vital to the Christian life," Sanders said in a news release.
More information on LifeWay's VBS materials will be available online as new features are launched.
