UNION, Ky. -- Helpmate Technology Solutions (HTS) is launching a scheduling system that will help churches with resource and asset tracking, resource and event scheduling, and event registration/signup, including payment tracking.

Helpmate Scheduler 2002 can be used as a stand-alone product or in conjunction with Helpmate's Church Helpmate 2002 database management system, according to a company news release. The product will begin shipping Aug. 29.

"So many churches today struggle with keeping track of their resources such as rooms, vehicles, audio/visual equipment, library items, as well as the scheduling and sign-up for the meetings, seminars, retreats, conferences and other events that occur at their facility," HTS president Paul Schuster said in the release. "Organizing the schedules of resources, staff, volunteers, rooms, etc. can be a monumental task."

Helpmate Scheduler includes graphical monthly calendars, scheduling time-bar charts and day-timer controls. The program includes a Palm Pilot Export Utility, which enables users to load event schedules to their Palm Pilots. Churches already using Church Helpmate can synchronize that database with Helpmate Scheduler.

A demo of Helpmate Scheduler can be downloaded from the HTS Web site or can be ordered on CD by calling (888) 858-3247. The program costs $189.97 for a single-user license. An optional site license add-on for unlimited usage costs an additional $99.97.

Hundreds of churches and non-profit organizations use HTS' church management software, according to the release.
