DALLAS -- Top influencers have lined up to share their strategies for multi-site church outreach in a conference for ministries interested in furthering their growth through franchise.
According to a press release, success with the recent technology-driven strategy to focus on one church that meets at multiple locations, has prompted more and more multi-site churches. These churches have discovered a new way to expand demographically and geographically beyond traditional boundaries.
They are developing new models and understandings of leadership, stewardship, and the use of property. Multi-Sites are alternative venues such as digital church, extension sites, video-café congregations, multiple campuses, satellite ministries, or other variations that go beyond your main worship area or main campus.
On October 24-25 in Chicago, the reknown Leadership Network will host Larry Osborne of North Coast Church in Vista, Calif., Dave Ferguson of Community Christian Church in the greater Chicago area, and Greg Surratt of Seacoast Church emanating from Greenville, S.C., at one location to share the latest innovations and up to date discoveries in multi-site.
Each church leadership team will share from their unique experience on multi-site ministry. New church starts, denominational leaders, rapidly growing churches and churches that are interested in this concept will find the information, knowledge, and wisdom to: Decide whether the multi-site approach to kingdom expansion fits your church; utilize the practical tools and applications already available; and avoid the pitfalls and "dumb taxes" already encountered and paid.
According to Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church, multi-site churches allow a large church to both optimize differing styles and service times and to feel small.
"Pastors are the only people who like huge services," Warren said. "Members put up with the large size because of the teaching, programs, and ministry opportunities offered. If they could find those things in a smaller church, no doubt they would be there."
