Some churches turn to amphitheater, stadium for Easter services

Sun-Sentinel: Each Easter, congregations blossom like spring flowers as people attend who stay away most of the year.

But even so, some might be surprised at the numbers expected at regional gatherings this Sunday.

Christ Fellowship expects nearly 20,000 at its services at fairgrounds west of West Palm Beach, Fla., this year. Calvary Chapel of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is moving to Dolphins Stadium -- to hold an expected 30,000-plus worshipers.
