Valley Morning Star: â€“ Ralph Morales knows about the horrors of combat. After serving in the Texas Army National Guard during the Vietnam War, Morales, now the pastor at End of the Road Ministry in Harlingen, Texas, was discharged from service as a sergeant first class in 1993.

To help the Rio Grande Valley's newest crop of Iraq war veterans to cope with the stress from their combat experiences, Morales and a group of veterans are forming the Veterans Alliance of South Texas (VAST).
