DALLAS  The second Sunday of February has been designated as Covenant Marriage Sunday by the Covenant Marriage Movement. According to the group's Web site, their goal this year is to have thousands of congregations across the United States and around the world joining in a celebration of marriage as a covenant relationship.
The theme for the 2005 Covenant Marriage Sunday is, "Embracing the Heart of Marriage."
The group aims to encourage young married and engaged couples to be excited about marriage by understanding God's perspective on the institution.
The Covenant Marriage Movement is an interdenominational ministry that began in 1999 and now partners with dozens of other ministries including: Focus on the Family, Promise Keepers and Lifeway.
