Sun-Sentinel: The United Church of Christ has filed Federal Communications Commission complaints against two South Florida television stations that refused to air a 30-second spot that promotes the progressive church's message of inclusion. The commercial has been running on a dozen cable networks and on the Fox network since Dec. 1.
CBS-owned WFOR-Ch. 4 and NBC-owned WTVJ-Ch. 6 were named in the complaints because their FCC licenses are up for renewal, said church spokeswoman Barb Powell. The complaints are the first the church has filed against stations for not airing the spots, said Powell.
