Associated Press: A Raleigh, N.C., pastor's newspaper ad urging Christians to spend their money at retailers who wish them a "Merry Christmas" Ã¢â‚¬â€ and not the more generic "Happy Holidays" Ã¢â‚¬â€ has meant a little less good will this Christmas season.

Instead of putting Christ back in Christmas, or at least Christmas back in consumerism, the ad sparked a community debate over religious tolerance. Another pastor in the community said he was saddened that debate about the ad has been more about taking sides than discussing the meaning of Christmas.
