Maryland church gets grant to run job resource centers

The Capital: The Mount Olive AME Church of Annapolis, Md., has been chosen to run the new job resource centers in the county jail, according to organizers of the program.

The church was picked because of its existing community outreach program and contacts, said Andrew Moser, president of the Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corp. The new program is funded with a $490,803 grant from the U.S. Department of Labor's Center for Faith-based and Community Initiatives.
