• Group accuses pastor of political speech from pulpit

SPRINGDALE, Ark. Ã¢â‚¬â€ The group Americans United for Separation of Church and State has filed an complaint against an Arkansas minister, accusing him of using his ministerial pulpit as a political bully pulpit in violation of his church's nonprofit status under U.S. tax law.

Members of AUSCS complain that Rev. Ronnie Floyd, of Springdale, crossed the line at a recent Independence Day celebration. Between songs and prayers, the complaint alleges, there were videotaped messages from Floyd asking congregation members to vote a certain way.
