NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- LifeWay Christian Resources has a new Vacation Bible School activity to replace a potentially dangerous candle-making project originally suggested, according to the Baptist Press.
A Jungle Journal craft activity will take the place of a coffee bean candle-making project during this year's Amazon Outfitters Vacation Bible School.
"When we became aware of the concern about the potential fire hazard of this activity, we decided to replace this craft with another one," said Kristi Lemoine, an editor with LifeWay's Children's VBS Team.
LifeWay, affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, has sent an e-mail about the change to state Baptist convention children's associates, nearly 25,000 ministry leaders and VBS directors, according to the Baptist Press.
