INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.--A one-day workshop, "Architecture and Construction Trends for the 21st Century Church," will address architectural innovation, according to The National Association of Church Design Builders (NACDB).
The association and Indianapolis-based T&W Corporation will host a seminar on church architecture and construction trends April 27 at Indiana Wesleyan University.
The workshop will provide a comprehensive look at newest trends, advances and innovations in church facility design and construction.
Greg Barron, president of both G.L. Barron and NACDB, will speak. The NACDB is an organization that provides religious and other non-profit groups with information on the planning, design and construction of churches and church-related facilities.
"Just as they were centuries ago, churches again are becoming the center of communities," said Barron.
"Houses of worship, like other community centers, are becoming increasingly modernized with recreational facilities, full-service kitchens and state-of-the-art audio visual equipment.
"This seminar addresses the changing preferences for the new multi-sensory population of fully utilizing church structure, aiding in becoming a relevant worship experience in the 21st century."
