Court rules congregation can keep its building despite leaving UMC denomination

Agape Press: The pastor of a California congregation that left the United Methodist Church because of doctrinal differences says he is "utterly thrilled" by a unanimous ruling that allows his church to retain its building and surrounding property. The most recent court ruling is the latest in a four-year battle between the conservative congregation and the denomination that church members say no longer believes in the authority of scripture.
