GALVESTON, Texas  Abundant Life Christian Center is making sure at least two people have something to cheer about when the New Year rolls in.
The church is giving away a new Chrysler PT Cruiser to a woman and a Harley-Davidson Sportster to a man at its New Year's Eve service.
According to The Associated Press, members and visitors have been eligible to enter the free drawings each time they attended a service in recent weeks. Members who brought visitors could enter twice.
"This is an opportunity to give something to someone that will encourage people to come to the house of the Lord," the Rev. Walter Hallman said. "We want to do something to have a positive effect on people's lives."
Entrants must be present at the Dec. 31 service to win the vehicles.
