PHOENIX -- More than 500 Native American leaders and clergy will gather May 13-17 to discuss evangelism, equipping leaders and establishing churches, according to the Assemblies of God News Service.
The 2002 Native American Fellowship Convocation will be held at American Indian College in Phoenix. Native American pastors and missionaries who have served for more than 25 years will be honored along with the Rev. Rodger Cree, who recently retired after 50 years' service. Promise Keepers, the nationwide movement to bring men closer to God, will host a special dinner for clergy.
The Native American Fellowship, associated with the Assemblies of God, is a network of Christian leaders and churches, teachers, parachurch ministries, tribal council leaders and missionaries. They gather annually for workshops, a business meeting and elections, according to a news release.
