WALTHAM, Mass. ââ¬â AmeriVault Corp. has teamed up with Jakeel Consulting to make AmeriVault's online backup and recovery solution available to the church market, according to a news release.
AmeriVault's proprietary software recognizes and captures changes to files, encrypts the data for enhanced security and compresses it to minimize transmission time. The data is sent over the Internet or private telecommunications lines to secure off-site mass storage.
The company said the partnership is an ideal fit for churches with limited information technology personnel and resources.
"When most people think of churches, they think of a business that has very little reliance upon technology. However, the reality is quite the contrary," said Bud Stoddard, president and CEO of AmeriVault. "As with any other business, churches rely upon their computer systems to carry out their work. Although, many put their businesses at tremendous risk by failing to perform routine and thorough backups which are necessary to protect their data."
Jamie Valentine, president and CEO of Jakeel Consulting, said the partnership can benefit churches of all sizes.
"AmeriVault has a long history of providing best-in-class technology and services at affordable pricing. This history and intense focus will be of tremendous benefit to the church market," Valentine said. "In fact, we have already seen very positive feedback from church leaders."
